At Elevare Civic Education Group, how we lead shapes what we can achieve together. Our AWESOME Leadership Framework sets out the pillars that guide us across our College, Schools and charitable Foundation, connecting everyday decisions with our shared mission to transform lives through the power of learning.

The framework draws on the people, experiences and values that have shaped our Group. It captures what we want to carry forward as we grow, while welcoming fresh ideas and new perspectives.

What is AWESOME Leadership?

AWESOME Leadership creates the conditions for others to thrive. It means building trust, listening with care, sharing responsibility and helping people recognise what they can achieve.

Leadership happens throughout our organisation. Whatever our role, the way we support colleagues, work with learners and contribute to our communities can make a difference.

Our framework brings this shared approach to life through seven connected pillars.

Authentic
Be real. Be grounded. Be you.

We lead with integrity, humility and courage. By being open, acting consistently and recognising that we do not always have the answers, we build trust and encourage others to do the same.

Wholehearted
Lead with clarity and care.

We put people and wellbeing at the heart of leadership. We create environments where colleagues feel safe, valued and supported, with the clarity and confidence to do their best work.

Empowering
Great leaders don’t create followers, they create other leaders.

We trust people, value different perspectives and give others a voice. By recognising potential and creating opportunities to grow, we strengthen leadership across our organisation.

Purpose with direction.

Putting the framework into practice

AWESOME Leadership provides a shared guide for how we work, learn and develop together. It encourages us to reflect on our behaviour, learn from experience and recognise the impact we have on those around us.

Through the Elevare Leadership Academy, coaching, mentoring and opportunities to learn across the Group, we are embedding these principles in everyday practice. Sharing stories and experiences, such as through our podcast series, helps us explore what the framework means in different roles and settings, and how we can continue to improve.

For our learners, this means feeling seen, supported and inspired. For our colleagues, it means a culture of trust, belonging and opportunity. For our communities, it means an education group that listens, works in partnership and takes its civic responsibilities seriously.
